The City of Lilburn is accepting applications for Police Officer. The City provides first-class municipal services with small-town customer attention. Lilburn is strategically situated in southwestern Gwinnett County less than 20 miles from downtown Atlanta and has a day time population of approximately 25,000. The Lilburn Police Department has 32 sworn positions and 5 civilian support staff positions.
Lilburn Police Officers work a preferred 12-hour shift with every other weekend off. LPD Officers also are provided a take-home vehicle; primary weapon systems, patrol rifle, shotgun, X2 Taser, MDT, body-worn camera, uniforms, a ballistic vest and more.
Starting salary range based on education and experience: $43,465.53 - $48,898.72

High School Diploma or G.E.D; Must be a U. S. Citizen and 18 years of age to be eligible for Georgia P.O.S.T. certification; Valid Georgia Driver's License; Must successfully complete a comprehensive background investigation including criminal, controlled substance use, credit, driving, and work history.
Applicants must pass a series of pre-employment tests and interviews. Once selected, individuals must complete all P.O.S.T. Certification requirements.
