Full Time, Permanent, 37.5 hours per week
This is an administrative/ management position responsible for Social Services Division General Assistance programs/activities. Working closely with the Division Administrator and staff, responsibilities include coordination of general assistance program activities; supervision of staff; quality control activities. General responsibilities include supervision of staff, coordination of special projects, programmatic quality assurance, and organization and administration of program funds. Other responsibilities include program planning and development, Welpac data entry and data quality control, and customer service quality assurance. Requirements – Bachelor’s degree in the area of Human Services, experience in Social Services, including supervisory experience in a social services atmosphere or equivalent combination of training and experience; knowledge of the State of Maine General Assistance program, social service/public health programs low-income individuals, public assistance programs and all other area mainstream resources; extensive employment and training knowledge; administrative skills, including report writing and record keeping; experience working with a diverse population including chronically mentally ill, physically disabled and substance addicted populations; and the ability to communicate effectively. Offers of employment are contingent upon the completion of a satisfactory criminal background check. Special Requirements – Current Maine Class C driver’s license and access to automobile for work.
Salary range is $69,576 to $83,070/year
