The City of Winchester and the Department of Social Services invites you to come join our team! We are recruiting for a Program Manager that is responsible for assisting the Social Services Director with the implementation and execution of a wide variety of services and programs involving the Department of Social Services. Assists the Social Services Director by evaluating and monitoring Family Services and Benefit programs and performance, conducting and evaluating research and developing and implementing agency and program improvements delegated from the Social Services Director and manages special projects. Responsible for Mass Care Emergency Sheltering Preparedness. This is a critical position that assists with implementing the culture of the organization.

Example of Duties
Acts as the primary point of contact for the coordination, preparation, submission and resolution of all agency audits, evaluations and reviews;
Coordinates, develops, implements and monitors program improvement plans or corrective actions to achieve outcomes, goals and objectives;
Obtains, complies, analyzes records, reports and data to assess agency program compliance;
Develops reports and recommendations regarding agency program compliance, improvement plans and corrective actions;
Assists the Social Services Director with organizational improvement measures and management practices, and long-range planning;
Monitors state and federal legislation and apprises Social Services Director on potential impacts;
Supports the Social Services Director in the preparation of reports and presentations to the public, City Manager, City Council and Social Services Advisory Board;
Serves as a member the Social Services Leadership Team and represents the department on committees, task forces and work groups as directed by the Social Services Director and/or City Manager to include the Family Assessment and Planning Team and the Community Policy and Management Team;
Other duties as assigned.
