. Candidates will receive a confirmation email once their application has been submitted successfully.
Human Resources will submit all candidates to LRPD personnel for a preliminary background check. If any of the following are found during the preliminary background, the candidate will be automatically disqualified:
Invalid driver's license
Prior felony conviction - NOTE: Expunged and/or pardoned felonies still disqualify candidates from employment as a Police Officer.
Prior domestic abuse conviction
Excessive traffic points accrued within the past three years.
Applicants who have successfully completed the on-line application, supplemental questions, and the preliminary background check will receive additional information about scheduling for the written exam and physical endurance and ability testing. Test dates will be available August 25th, August 29th, August 31st and September 5th, 2019.
